3. Option Years Pricing Jun 20 2023 at 8:13 AM
- Jun 20 2023 at 8:13 AMSanta Clara Valley Transportation Authority
I just want to confirm that we need to calculate 5 years of Bid Pricing to accommodate the $4,000,000-$5,500,000 parameters set forth in your bid. You have one year base pricing with 6 additional years for a total of potentially 7 years. Should we be multiplying our base 1st year bid pricing x 5, 6, or 7 years. Obviously this is an important question because we don’t want to inadvertently throw our own bid out based on the funding parameters set forth by VTA. - Jun 20 2023 at 8:14 AMSanta Clara Valley Transportation Authority
It is up to you whether you want multiply the dollar amount of your base bid by the number of option years to come up with your Total Bid Price. VTA’s independent cost estimate was calculated with inflation anticipated for each option year. Therefore, the dollar amount for each option year is different and increases with time. Regardless of which method you want to use for calculating your Total Bid Price, keep in mind that if VTA decided to exercise an option year, then the dollar amount of the corresponding option year that you put in your bid would be used as the budget for that option year.
