Background

The Civic is situated at the corner of Main Street and Pico Boulevard, one block from the Pacific Ocean within proximity to public transit, parking, high quality hotels, the Pier and Downtown Santa Monica.  The Civic Auditorium opened in 1958 as a public gathering place for cultural, educational, and community events and was designed by noted architect Welton Beckett.
