3. Technical Proposal Format

1. Technical Proposal Format

To facilitate the analysis of proposals, Offerors are encouraged to prepare the proposal according to the instructions and in the order presented in this section. Proposals should be prepared as simply as possible with straightforward, concise descriptions to demonstrate an understanding of the project and services required by the City. Proposals that provide innovative alternatives and creative approaches are encouraged. Any other information thought to be relevant, but not applicable to the categories below, may be provided as an appendix to the proposal.

The proposal should be organized with the following information and minimally contain the following information:

  • Artist Statement of Interest: (3,000 characters maximum) Include an Artist Statement of Interest that outlines a general interest in this opportunity.
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae(CV): (3,000 characters maximum) Include a current resume/CV that outlines your professional accomplishments as an artist. Similar background information should be provided for each member of the proposed team where applicable. Identify all subcontractors/sub-consultants who will work on the project/provide services and define their roles.
  • Images and descriptions of past work: Visual representations of past artwork that demonstrate your qualifications for this project. Submit up to a total of 8 images of previously completed projects. Include a list of the previously submitted images with descriptions that clearly explain both the projects and the images. Include Title, Date, Location, Dimensions, Significant Materials, and Budget (if a public commission). If you were a member of a team, indicate your role in the project. If submitting as a team, all members must be represented in the images submitted and indicate their role in the project.
  • Design/Vision for the current project describing the concept proposed. Include one (1) sketch of your vision for the project and list the approximate dimensions. Up to three (3) proposed sketches can be offered per submittal. The City may work with the artist during the negotiation phase for modifications to sketches for final design approval.
  • Proposed maintenance plan to include the Offeror’s responsibilities and length of plan.
  • The timeframe for project completion.

Offerors should attach and submit their Technical Proposal where prompted in the "Vendor Questionnaire" section of of their submittal.
