Summary
The City of Groveland's Finance Department is proud to offer 2 different Charm Grants for eligible participants. A 501(c)(3) Organization Grant is available for those non-profits that provide a service that improves the quality of life for the citizens of Groveland, and an Event Grant to organizations that host events which (a) is open to and provides benefits to the citizens, and (b) contributes to the economic vitality of the community.
Background
The City of Groveland was incorporated in 1922 and is located in south Lake County, Florida. It encompasses 21.48 square miles and has a population of 18,255 as established by the 2010 U.S. Census. The City runs under a Council-Manager form of government, including five elected officials, the Mayor and four councilmembers. The City Council determines policy, adopts legislation, and approves the City's annual budget. Council appoints the City Manager, who as the Chief Administrative Officer, is charged with the responsibility of enforcing all ordinances and resolutions passed by Council.
The City provides the following full range of municipal services authorized by it's Charter: public safety, streets, sanitation, recreation, public improvements, planning and zoning, building services, water and sewer, and general administrative services.
