Overview
Summary
The City of Cleveland (“City”), owner and operator of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (“CLE”), Burke Lakefront Airport (“BKL”) (collectively “Airports”) and the North Coast Harbor (“Harbor”), through its Director of the Department of Port Control (“Director”), invites written Proposals from firms that have requisite, demonstrable competence and experience in providing Valet Parking Services Concession(the “Project”) as required by the various divisions of the Department of Port Control (“Department”) and described more fully in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”).
Qualified firms either singly or in joint venture or other legal arrangements (collectively, the “Contractor” or “Consultant”) must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in, and a thorough knowledge of, the services required for the Project.
Background
As part of the ongoing effort to accommodate changing consumer demands, to provide the highest levels of service to the air traveling public and to maximize the generation of income, the Department is soliciting Proposals from firms interested in managing, staffing and operating a valet parking service at the Airport.
The goal, of the Department, in seeking management Proposals, is not only to enhance non-airline generated revenue, but to also provide the air traveling public, patrons of the Airport, tenants, Airport based employees, and the general public, with convenient and efficient on-airport valet parking consistent with the requirements contained in this RFP. Furthermore, the Department is seeking management Proposals that reflect an entrepreneurial approach that better positions the Airport to grow its market share and better compete for frequent corporate travelers/parkers in the Airport’s catchment area. Proposals should contain realistic financial projections and indicate how the Proposer will adapt to changing trends and markets during the term of the contract.
In connection with this RFP the objectives of the Airport are:
- The Successful Proposer shall manage staff; operate a valet parking service, along with valet related services, at the Airport, as a concession.
- Provide patrons, of the Airport, and the air traveling public, with a clean, safe and dependable alternative method of parking their vehicles.
- Establish and maintain high levels of service to patrons of the Airport and the air traveling public.
The Department intends to maintain the valet service at the Airport in order to increase non-airline related revenue and provide a high level of customer service.
Airport parking is an important aspect of the Airport’s ground transportation program. The valet service offers an upscale parking approach, at a reasonable cost, to the travelling public.
