I thought i saw somewhere that some of the forms had to be submitted to verify if the company is qualified to bid the job. I'm not seeing where it can be done separately. I guess I'm wondering if the Project Documents is the only documents we have to submit - Mar 12 2025 at 3:50 PMCity of Jackson

11. Bid Bond Mar 14 2025 at 10:51 AM
- Anonymous Mar 14 2025 at 10:51 AMUser information is private
I’m seeking clarification regarding the phrase "Run to the City." Does this mean we are required to physically drop off the bid bonds, or are they allowed to be submitted through OpenGov? Thanks for your help! (Copied From Instructions to Bidders) Such bid bonds must be run to the City of Jackson, Michigan. - Mar 14 2025 at 11:51 AMCity of Jackson
This is the standard language used in City of Jackson documents. This should be interpreted as physical delivery of the bid bond certified check for a receipt. The certified checks are returned to the bidders not considered for award. This is only if you do not use the most common approach of a Bonding Company Acknowledgement of Surety Bid Bond document, whereas the original embossed documents will be required delivery if awarded. For bid submission on OpenGov, you should attach that document or the certified check receipt as proof for the Bid Security requirement.
