The Scope of work states that The Willcox Unified School District, #13 has an estimated budget of $1,050,000.00 for the entire project during the next 2 years and consists of 70 Classrooms. During the site visit it was stated that many of the classrooms have already received the renovations, but they were not sure how many in total. How many classrooms Have received renovations? What was the source of funding for these renovations? What was the price per classroom Budget compared to the final cost for the example classrooms we were shown during the walkthrough?

Your submittal is about your qualifications, so many of questions are irrelevant. Funding source is Bond money. Cost is not a factor at this time.

During the walkthrough it was stated that only 3-4 classrooms will be worked on at a time and The final completion date is June 1, 2027. With Supply Chain disruptions, long lead times, Higher Inflation, and regular price increases becoming the new normal, it is very difficult to provide a GMP for 2.5 Years. We feel very confident that the entire project can easily be completed during one summer break in 2025, and with only one Contractor. Unless there is a delay in the available funding for this project, We see no reason why the project timeline should be stretched. Would you consider using 1 contractor for all remaining classrooms and allowing that contractor to set the final schedule for renovations to be completed, while guaranteeing no disruptions to regular school operations?

Again your submittal is about your qualifications to get the work done. The District would consider one contractor. When thinking about a schedule remember these are occupied classrooms, not empty spaces.

Has there been any testing on the acoustic tile under the wallpaper or the mastic?

There is no need for testing since the project calls for drywall over the current wallpaper and mastic. The ceiling tiles are newer, so simply removing and replacing them is what is required.
